What Is ThemeForest?

ThemeForest is a digital marketplace owned by Envato where users can purchase premium WordPress themes.

Each theme purchase includes:

  • A downloadable theme file

  • A license for one website

  • Access to theme updates

  • Support from the theme author

Step 1: Create or Log In to Your Envato Account

  1. Go to themeforest.net

  2. Click Sign In (or Create an Account if you don’t have one)

  3. Enter your account details

You must have an Envato account to purchase and download themes.

Step 2: Purchase a WordPress Theme

  1. Use the search bar to find a WordPress theme

  2. Click on a theme to view its details

  3. Click Add to Cart

  4. Choose the license type (usually Regular License)

  5. Complete the checkout process

Once payment is successful, the theme will appear in your account downloads.

Step 3: Download the Theme Files

After purchasing:

  1. Click your profile icon (top right)

  2. Select Downloads

  3. Locate the theme you purchased

  4. Click Download

  5. Choose Installable WordPress file only

⚠️ Make sure you download the Installable WordPress file only option.
Do not upload the full package file to WordPress — it will not install correctly.

This will download a ZIP file that you can upload directly to WordPress.

What If You Downloaded the Full Package?

If you selected:
All files & documentation

You will need to:

  1. Extract the ZIP file on your computer

  2. Locate the inner file labeled something like:

    • theme-name.zip

    • installable.zip

  3. Upload that specific ZIP file to WordPress

Step 4: Keep Your License Safe

Every purchase includes a license certificate.

To download your license:

  1. Go to Downloads

  2. Click License Certificate & Purchase Code

Keep this information safe — you may need it for:

  • Theme updates

  • Support requests

  • Theme activation

Important Notes

  • Each purchase covers one website installation

  • Support is provided by the theme author, not WebOps

  • Updates are managed through the theme developer
